ServiceNow inks deal with OpenAI to boost its AI software stack

In a significant move to enhance its artificial intelligence capabilities, ServiceNow has entered into a three-year partnership with OpenAI. This collaboration aims to integrate OpenAI's advanced AI models into ServiceNow's workflow platform, providing businesses with powerful AI agents to streamline their operations. As part of this strategic agreement, ServiceNow plans to incorporate the latest version of OpenAI's model, GPT-5.2, into its enterprise solutions. Additionally, the partnership will focus on developing AI-driven voice technology that leverages these cutting-edge models. While the financial specifics of the deal remain undisclosed, the potential impact on the industry is considerable. Amit Zavery, ServiceNow’s president and chief product officer, emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating, "Bringing together our engineering teams and our respective technologies will drive faster value for customers and create more intuitive ways of working with AI." This deal is part of a broader strategy by ServiceNow to enhance its AI offerings and establish itself as a leader in the rapidly evolving tech landscape. Recently, the company has been actively acquiring firms to bolster its capabilities, including the nearly $8 billion purchase of cybersecurity startup Armis and the identity security platform Veza. Furthermore, ServiceNow made headlines last year with its $3 billion acquisition of Moveworks, signaling a strong commitment to developing AI agents for business applications.
