Samsung has launched its latest foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, during the highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event held in New York on Wednesday. This new model aims to democratize foldable technology, offering a more budget-friendly alternative to the flagship Galaxy Z Flip 7. Powered by the Exynos 2400 chipset—also found in the Galaxy S24 and S24+ in select markets—the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE features a stunning 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. With a peak brightness of up to 2,600 nits and a smooth 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, the display promises an exceptional viewing experience. Additionally, it includes a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED cover screen that allows for customizable widgets, making it both functional and user-friendly. Operating on One UI 8 based on Android 16, the device is equipped with an array of Galaxy AI tools, including Live Translate for third-party applications, Note Assist, Browsing Assist, Circle to Search, and Call Transcript. Samsung has also enhanced its creative features, introducing options like Portrait Studio and Audio Eraser, which enhance users' photographic capabilities. In terms of camera setup, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE boasts a 50MP wide-angle camera with 2x optical zoom, alongside a 12MP ultra-wide lens. For selfie enthusiasts, a 10MP front-facing camera is conveniently located on the inner display. The phone's ProVisual Engine supports advanced features such as Nightography and Dual Preview to enrich the photography experience. Durability is a key focus for this model, which features an Armour Aluminium frame and an IP48 rating, ensuring resistance to dust and water. Surprisingly slim, the device measures just 6.9mm when unfolded, making it easier to carry. To safeguard user data, it incorporates Samsung's Personal Data Engine and Knox Vault for heightened security. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is powered by a 4,000mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging, balancing performance with battery life to meet the demands of multitasking users. The smartphone will be available in two configurations: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage for ₹89,999 and a 256GB version priced at ₹95,999. Customers can choose from classic Black and White colors. Pre-orders in India are now open, with an enticing introductory offer allowing buyers to secure the 256GB model at the price of the 128GB variant if ordered before July 12. The official sale date is set for July 25, making it an exciting time for fans of innovative technology.
