Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 launched in India with 3nm Exynos 2500 chip

Samsung has officially launched its latest clamshell foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, during a global event on Wednesday. This new addition to the Galaxy lineup comes alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, showcasing a modernized design and enhanced hardware. Notably, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is among the first devices from Samsung to operate on the Android 16-based One UI 8. One of the standout features of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is its upgraded 4.1-inch edge-to-edge Super AMOLED cover display, replacing the previous folder-style panel found on the Galaxy Z Flip 6. The primary display remains at an impressive 6.9-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X, with both screens supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. Additionally, the external display benefits from Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for enhanced durability. At the heart of the device is Samsung's cutting-edge 3nm Exynos 2500 chip, paired with 12GB of RAM and options for up to 512GB of internal storage. When unfolded, the smartphone measures just 6.5mm thick, making it sleeker than its predecessor, which measured 6.9mm. Weighing in at 188 grams, the device folds down to a compact 13.7mm. The camera system has also received significant upgrades, featuring a dual rear setup that includes a 50MP main sensor with 2x optical zoom and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. A 10MP front-facing camera is conveniently positioned at the top of the inner display. Enhanced by Samsung’s new ProVisual Engine, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 offers AI-driven imaging and editing capabilities. The device comes equipped with various AI tools, including Transcript Assist, Note Assist, Call Assist, and Live Translation, along with support for Google's Circle to Search feature and integrated Google Gemini functionalities. New productivity features such as the Now Bar—a floating widget for managing media and notifications—and Now Brief, which provides daily summaries on the cover display, enhance the user experience. Powering the smartphone is a robust 4,300mAh battery, complemented by a newly designed Armour Flex Hinge and a durable Armour Aluminium frame, offering an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance. In India, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be available in four attractive color options: Blue Shadow, Coral Red, Jet Black, and Mint, with the Mint variant exclusively available on the Samsung India website. Although pricing details have yet to be revealed, pre-orders are currently open on Samsung’s official site, with sales set to begin on July 25.
