Samsung has officially announced its Galaxy Unpacked event, slated for February 25 in San Francisco, where it plans to introduce the highly anticipated Galaxy S26 smartphone series. This event is expected to prominently feature advanced AI capabilities, with the company stating that the new devices are designed to enhance daily interactions and integrate AI features seamlessly from the moment they are picked up. One of the most exciting innovations hinted at for the Galaxy S26 Ultra is a privacy display. This feature will enable users to shield specific sections of their screen from prying eyes, safeguarding sensitive information, including notifications. Reports indicate that the flagship model will be powered by Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon Elite Gen 5 processor in the U.S. and China, while Samsung is anticipated to utilize its own Exynos 2600 processor in other markets. Although Snapdragon chips have traditionally outperformed Exynos in various benchmarks, the gap is reportedly closing. Additionally, the Galaxy S26 is expected to come equipped with a robust 5,100 mAh battery, supporting 60W wired charging and 25W wireless charging. Alongside the smartphones, Samsung is likely to unveil the updated Galaxy Buds 4, featuring a refreshed design that parallels Apple’s AirPods. The event will kick off at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 7 PM CET and will be streamed live on Samsung’s official website and YouTube channel. As an incentive, Samsung is offering a $30 promotional credit for those who pre-register their interest in the upcoming devices. This pre-registration is simply an expression of interest, and consumers will still receive the credit for discounts on other Samsung products, even if they choose not to purchase the new devices. For those who pre-register and later place a pre-order, the credit will increase to $150—no trade-in necessary.
