Samsung has introduced the Galaxy M17 5G in India, enhancing its renowned Galaxy M series by emphasizing cutting-edge technology, striking design, and resilience. Priced between ₹10,000 and ₹15,000, this smartphone aims to make advanced tech accessible for Gen Z users. Akshay S Rao, Director of MX Business at Samsung India, expressed, "At Samsung, meaningful innovation is about delivering technology that empowers consumers to make impactful changes. With the Galaxy M17 5G, we continue the M series legacy of significant innovations by incorporating an OIS-equipped ‘No Shake Camera’ within this affordable segment, alongside robust durability, AI features, and a sleek profile to meet Gen Z aspirations." The Galaxy M17 5G boasts a 50MP triple-camera system with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) designed to deliver sharp, blur-free photos and videos. Its camera setup includes an Ultra-Wide and a Macro lens, complemented by a 13MP front-facing camera for high-quality selfies. With a slim profile of just 7.5mm, the M17 5G is fortified with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for enhanced durability. It also comes with an IP54 rating, ensuring dust and splash resistance, and is available in two elegant colors: Moonlight Silver and Sapphire Black. Equipped with Circle to Search using Google, users can effortlessly search for information by circling objects or text on their screens. Additionally, Gemini Live facilitates real-time, AI-enhanced visual conversations. The device runs on Android 15 with One UI 7, promising a personalized and user-friendly interface. The smartphone features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display that achieves peak brightness of 1100 nits for stunning visuals. Powered by Samsung's Exynos 1330 processor, built on a 6nm architecture, it ensures efficient multitasking capabilities. The 5000mAh battery supports 25W fast charging, allowing for extended usage and quicker recharging times. Samsung guarantees six years of OS upgrades and security updates for the Galaxy M17 5G, further enhanced by Samsung Knox Vault for hardware-level data protection. A new On-device Voice Mail feature allows callers to leave messages when calls go unanswered. Additional features include Voice Focus for improved audio clarity and Samsung Wallet with Tap & Pay for seamless digital transactions. The Galaxy M17 5G is available starting at ₹11,999 for the 4GB + 128GB variant, ₹13,499 for the 6GB + 128GB model, and ₹14,999 for the 8GB + 128GB version. Customers can also take advantage of up to three months of no-cost EMI options through leading banks and NBFCs. Sales are set to commence on October 13, 2025, through Amazon, Samsung.com, and select retail outlets.
