Samsung has officially announced the launch date for its highly anticipated Galaxy S25 FE, set to hit the markets in India and worldwide on September 4. This release comes just days ahead of Apple's iPhone 17 series unveiling on September 9, increasing the excitement in the smartphone arena. While official details on the Galaxy S25 FE are still under wraps, prior reports from industry sources have shed light on what consumers can expect. The device is anticipated to sport a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, boasting a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels along with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the display is likely to be protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass Victus, ensuring durability. On the camera front, the smartphone may feature a robust triple camera array, including a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP telephoto lens with optical image stabilization (OIS), and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. The front-facing camera is expected to see an upgrade from last year's 10MP to a 12MP sensor, enhancing selfie quality. Battery life is poised for improvement as well, with a larger 4,900mAh battery compared to the 4,700mAh found in the Galaxy S24 FE. Charging capabilities are set to increase from 25W to a more powerful 45W, along with the possibility of 15W wireless charging support. Under the hood, the Galaxy S25 FE may be powered by the Exynos 2400 processor, promising increased performance over the Exynos 2400e used in its predecessor. The device is likely to come in two storage configurations: 8GB RAM with either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. Samsung's One UI 8, based on Android 16, will run on the S25 FE, and the company has committed to providing seven years of OS updates and security patches, mirroring the support promised for the S24 FE and Galaxy S25 series. In terms of pricing, reports suggest that the Galaxy S25 FE may start at approximately $649.99 (around ₹57,000) for the 128GB model and $709.99 (around ₹62,000) for the 256GB variant, though Indian pricing could vary slightly. For context, the Galaxy S24 FE was launched in India at ₹59,999 for the base model and ₹65,999 for the higher storage option.
