Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7 and Flip 7 FE leak ahead of Unpacked event

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7 and Flip 7 FE leak ahead of Unpacked event

Samsung is preparing for its highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9, with fresh leaks providing an enticing glimpse into its upcoming foldable smartphones. Renowned tipster Roland Quandt, through WinFuture, has revealed that Samsung plans to introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and a budget-friendly variant, the Z Flip 7 FE. The leaks detail important specifications such as display sizes, battery capacities, and storage options, giving enthusiasts and industry experts an early insight into the new devices. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to showcase significant design enhancements, making it slimmer and lighter compared to previous models. When fully opened, it is believed to measure just 4.2mm in thickness and 8.9mm when closed, positioning it among the thinnest foldable devices available, alongside competitors like the Oppo Find N5. Weighing in at 216 grams, it could become the lightest book-style foldable yet. Samsung seems to have increased the display dimensions, featuring a 6.5-inch outer display and an 8-inch inner screen. Despite these updates, the Fold 7 is expected to maintain a 4,400mAh battery capacity. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, with storage options likely to include 256GB and 512GB, and potentially a 1TB variant in select markets. A standout feature is a 200MP main camera, though additional camera specifications remain under wraps. The Fold 7 will be available in black, blue, and silver color options. The Z Flip 7 is also rumored to receive significant upgrades, most notably a larger 4.1-inch cover screen that wraps around the dual-camera lenses, a design reminiscent of Motorola’s Razr series. This model is expected to feature a robust 4,300mAh battery, one of the largest to date in the Flip lineup, while also being slimmer overall. Similar to the Fold, it will likely offer 256GB and 512GB storage options, along with a 50MP primary camera, with color choices mirroring those of the Fold 7. Additionally, Samsung is anticipated to introduce a new Fan Edition variant, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, which aims to cater to budget-conscious consumers. This variant is expected to have a few scaled-back specifications, including storage options of 128GB and 256GB, along with a 4,000mAh battery. Interestingly, despite its more affordable price point, the Flip 7 FE may also feature the same wraparound external screen found in the standard Flip 7, contradicting earlier expectations of a design reused from the Flip 6. This model is likely to be available in two colors: black and white. Alongside the foldable smartphones, Quandt has also shared what appear to be official marketing images of the upcoming Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic, both of which adopt a squircle-shaped design reminiscent of the Galaxy Watch Ultra, indicating a cohesive design approach across Samsung's wearable devices.
