The highly anticipated launch of Samsung's Galaxy S26 series is just around the corner, and the tech giant is poised to elevate its AI capabilities through the integration of Perplexity. This new feature is being promoted as a multi-agent ecosystem that aims to simplify everyday interactions for users. In a recent press release, Samsung pointed out that reliance on AI agents is on the rise, with nearly 80% of users depending on multiple types of AI. To address this growing trend, the company is incorporating Perplexity as an additional AI agent into its upcoming Galaxy devices, most notably the Galaxy S26 series. Perplexity will be seamlessly integrated across Samsung's ecosystem, enhancing first-party applications such as Samsung Notes, Clock, Gallery, Reminder, and Calendar, as well as select third-party apps. Won-Joon Choi, President and COO of Samsung Electronics, emphasized the company's commitment to creating a versatile and inclusive AI ecosystem. He stated, "Galaxy AI serves as an orchestrator, merging various AI forms into a cohesive user experience that simplifies complex tasks." To activate Perplexity, users can simply say, "Hey Plex," or access it quickly by pressing and holding the side button. This AI agent is designed to minimize the effort needed for daily tasks and routines, providing a more intuitive and contextual experience directly within Samsung's ecosystem. The Galaxy S26 series, expected to consist of three models—the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra—will officially be unveiled on February 25, 2026. The launch is anticipated to highlight innovative Galaxy AI features, marking a significant step toward enhanced on-device intelligence and improved search functionalities.
