The horror-comedy sensation from 2019, Ready or Not, is set to continue its thrilling saga with the release of its sequel, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come. The newly unveiled trailer promises a gripping continuation of the story that captivated audiences with a blend of humor and suspense. In the first installment, we witnessed Samara Weaving's character, Grace, as she navigated a terrifying game of Hide and Seek on her wedding night, following her marriage to Alex Le Domas, portrayed by Mark O’Brien. The ceremony at the Le Domas family estate took a sinister turn when Grace was forced to draw a card from a mysterious box, leading her into a deadly ritual where she became the hunted, battling her way against the odds to survive. The sequel picks up immediately after the shocking events of the first film, with a bloodied Grace still in her wedding attire, enjoying a cigarette while the Le Domas mansion burns in the backdrop. However, her moment of respite is short-lived as she wakes up in a hospital, restrained and realizing that the deadly games are far from over. Grace soon discovers that the Le Domas family is just one of many elite families within a “High Council,” and her survival has triggered a more intense hunt. With her sister Faith, played by Kathryn Newton, held captive, Grace is thrust into a life-or-death struggle against other families, where the stakes are higher than ever. The battle for survival continues, and only one sister can emerge victorious to take control of the Council.
