Salesforce is all in on AI. An internal survey reveals how employees feel about it.

Salesforce is positioning itself at the forefront of the AI movement, even considering a rebranding to 'Agentforce' to reflect its commitment to AI integration. An internal survey conducted by the company, which was recently revealed, sheds light on employee sentiments regarding the use of AI in their daily work. The survey, known as the "Great Insights" and conducted in November 2025, reached approximately 80% of Salesforce's 76,000 employees. The feedback was predominantly positive, with a significant 81% of respondents stating that AI tools enhance their productivity. However, the data indicates that fewer employees believe that AI is alleviating their workloads. In addition to the productivity boost, 83% of employees expressed confidence in managing AI-related risks, such as biases, while 81% felt encouraged to explore AI applications. Interestingly, although 57% noted that AI enabled their teams to uncover otherwise unattainable opportunities, only 62% felt that AI made their workload more manageable. Salesforce shared with Business Insider that the survey results reflect a substantial increase in the adoption of AI technologies among its workforce, with an impressive AI Readiness score reaching 85%—an 18% increase from the previous year. A company spokesperson remarked, "We are excited that our employees are not just adopting AI but are also witnessing its tangible benefits in their daily activities." Experts suggest that Salesforce is setting a benchmark for AI adoption within the corporate landscape. Jason Schloetzer, an associate professor at Georgetown University, noted that while AI appears to empower employees to take on more tasks, it may not necessarily simplify their workloads. Salesforce, known for its customer relationship management software, has been under the leadership of CEO Marc Benioff, who claimed last August that AI was responsible for half of the work at Salesforce. This shift has also led to the elimination of 4,000 support positions due to the introduction of AI agents. The company utilizes a combination of internal AI solutions, including a tool from Slack that swiftly retrieves old project templates and Career Connect, which evaluates employees' strengths and weaknesses for career development. Despite its aggressive AI strategy, Salesforce faces challenges, with its stock plummeting over 40% in the past year amid rising concerns over the future of traditional software companies in light of AI advancements from competitors like OpenAI and Anthropic. Furthermore, the company has encountered difficulties in fulfilling promises made during demonstrations of its AI product, Agentforce.
