Salesforce launches enterprise vibe coding product, Agentforce Vibes

Salesforce is making waves in the tech world with the introduction of Agentforce Vibes, an innovative AI-powered coding tool designed to simplify the development process for enterprises. Announced on Wednesday, this cutting-edge tool allows developers to articulate their coding needs in natural language, letting AI agents handle much of the coding work autonomously. Agentforce Vibes is tailored for Salesforce applications and facilitates the entire development journey, from initial concept to deployment, while ensuring robust enterprise security and governance. At the heart of this new tool is Vibe Codey, an autonomous AI coding agent that integrates directly with a company's existing Salesforce account. This integration allows Vibe Codey to leverage previously written code and adhere to established coding standards, ensuring that new apps align with existing products effectively. Dan Fernandez, Salesforce's Vice President of Product for Developer Services, explained the advantages of this connectivity. "Enterprises can dive into vibe coding without worrying about security risks or starting projects from scratch. We're providing everything you need to get started quickly," he stated. The setup process is streamlined, eliminating the usual complexities of development environments and model context protocols. This launch marks Salesforce's continued investment in vibe coding technologies, following the introduction of an AI-based code building tool in 2023. With the recent general availability of Agentforce during its Dreamforce conference, the company is now offering a comprehensive suite of AI developer solutions. Fernandez highlighted the initiative's aim to enhance the developer experience within the Salesforce ecosystem, creating a seamless and efficient environment for enterprise development. The development of Agentforce Vibes is built upon a customized version of Cline’s Visual Studio Code Extension, chosen after extensive evaluation of various open-source coding tools. Cline was selected for its robust support of secure communication protocols between AI models and external data, which is crucial for enterprise applications. The timing of this release coincides with a booming vibe coding market, where numerous startups are attracting significant investments. For instance, Lovable recently achieved a staggering $1.8 billion valuation shortly after its launch, while Anything reported $2 million in annual recurring revenue just weeks after beginning operations. Despite the excitement, industry analysts warn of the high operational costs associated with large language models, which could impact the sustainability of these emerging platforms. Salesforce is currently providing Agentforce Vibes free of charge to existing users, with a pricing model anticipated in the future. Each organization will receive 50 daily requests utilizing OpenAI’s GPT-5 model, with additional requests managed through a Salesforce-hosted Qwen 3.0 model. This strategic offering positions Salesforce at the forefront of the evolving vibe coding landscape.
