Salesforce quietly laid off workers in a new round of cuts

Salesforce has recently implemented a workforce reduction, impacting fewer than 1,000 positions at the start of this month. Sources close to the situation have confirmed that at least nine employees shared on LinkedIn that their jobs had been cut. Roles affected included areas such as marketing, product management, data analytics, and even the company's Agentforce AI product. This round of layoffs coincides with a significant shift in the company's leadership, as Salesforce has appointed six new executives to take the place of five prominent leaders who have departed since December. In a statement made back in August, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff highlighted the company's use of AI agents to streamline operations, which resulted in reducing its support staff from 9,000 to 5,000. As Salesforce navigates these changes, the impact on employee morale and company culture remains to be seen. The ongoing adjustments reflect broader trends within the tech industry, where companies are increasingly leveraging AI and restructuring to enhance efficiency and adaptability.
