Just weeks prior, both Anthropic and OpenAI made significant updates to their coding tools, underscoring the need for agility. Cherny mentioned how Claude aided in the development of Claude Cowork, a non-technical AI agent, in just ten days. "Early on, it was really important because it was just me, and so our only advantage was speed," he reflected. "If you want to go faster, a really good way to do that is to just have Claude do more stuff.
