Haptik, a Mumbai-based conversational AI company and a part of Reliance Jio Platforms, has launched an innovative initiative called "AI for All" aimed at empowering small and medium businesses (SMBs) with enterprise-level automation solutions. The newly introduced AI agents, accessible through WhatsApp, come with an affordable starting price of ₹10,000. These AI agents are designed to handle up to 80% of customer inquiries, with efficiency improving as they learn from interactions over time. Businesses that have adopted this technology report impressive results, including a 20 to 25 percent boost in conversions from leads to sales within a span of six to twelve months, as well as a significant 30 to 40 percent cut in manual support expenses. CEO Ahshad Jussawalla highlighted the transformative potential of these agents by illustrating various use cases: a small clinic can efficiently manage appointment scheduling round-the-clock without the need for a receptionist, educational institutions can provide instant responses to course inquiries outside of regular hours, and real estate companies can offer real-time guidance and schedule site visits for potential clients. "With AI Agents, we’ve reimagined automation to be simpler, faster, and more affordable than ever before," Jussawalla stated. The agents can communicate in 22 different Indian languages, fostering improved engagement particularly in non-metro areas. Haptik’s solution effectively eliminates the risk of missed leads and delays in customer support, all while minimizing the necessity for additional workforce or IT resources. Currently, over 50,000 SMBs leverage Haptik’s WhatsApp-first CRM and automation platform, Interakt, which facilitates marketing efforts, manages sales processes, and enhances customer support. The company aims to significantly expand its reach, targeting 300,000 to 500,000 SMBs, representing roughly 1% of India’s SMB market, within the next two years. Various sectors including healthcare, retail, education, and real estate are already testing Haptik’s AI agents. For example, Aster Hospitals in the UAE utilize multilingual AI agents for patient care reminders, while Pantheon Development employs them for qualifying real estate leads. Built upon Haptik’s Agentic AI Platform, these agents are compatible with major CRMs and backend systems, ensuring compliance with enterprise-grade security and data protection standards. “AI transcends being just a technical component; it evolves into a vital growth engine when it is aligned with clear goals such as customer satisfaction, churn reduction, and cost efficiency,” Jussawalla concluded. Haptik continues to cater to prominent enterprises including Jio, Cred, Ola, PVR, Adani, Unilever, and HP.
