Google Pixel 10 series lets you edit pictures using just your voice

Google has officially unveiled its latest Pixel 10 series, which includes the innovative Pixel 10 Pro Fold, showcasing a remarkable emphasis on artificial intelligence capabilities. A standout feature accompanying the new smartphones is a significant enhancement to Google Photos: a voice-activated editing tool powered by conversational AI. This groundbreaking feature allows users to modify their photos simply by articulating their desired changes in natural language, whether through text or voice commands. Utilizing Google’s advanced Gemini AI, the app can interpret instructions like "remove the cars in the background," "restore this old photo," or even more general commands such as "make it better." Additionally, users have the ability to tweak their edits further with follow-up requests or explore imaginative alterations, such as changing backgrounds, adding fun props like sunglasses or party hats, and implementing creative transformations. To promote transparency in image editing, Google Photos will also introduce C2PA Content Credentials, a metadata feature that clarifies whether an image was captured directly, enhanced by AI, or modified. The Pixel 10 devices are the pioneers in integrating this industry-standard framework directly within the camera application, with plans for Google Photos to extend this feature more broadly across Android and iOS platforms in the upcoming weeks. Initially launched in the United States, the voice editing feature on the Pixel 10 series will gradually roll out to other regions, including India.
