Nano Banana to AI Templates: Google Photos is getting 6 big new features

In a bold move following their AI-driven redesign, Google has introduced an impressive suite of features for Google Photos, including the highly anticipated Nano Banana model. Among the six new additions, users can now effortlessly address minor photo imperfections. Whether it's removing forgotten sunglasses, opening closed eyes, or adding missing smiles, all it takes is a simple request like "Help me edit" followed by specific prompts. The introduction of the viral image generator, Nano Banana, brings a new dimension to photo editing directly within Google Photos. Users can transform their images by tapping "Help me edit" and describing their desired style, enhancing creativity and personalization. iOS users in the United States will soon enjoy natural language editing capabilities. This feature allows them to articulate their editing wishes through text or voice, which the AI will then execute, making the editing process more intuitive than ever. A revamped photo editor is also on the way for iOS users, featuring gesture-based editing and one-tap suggestions that streamline the creative process. Google is making it easier to create with AI by introducing a new section titled "Create with AI." This section, powered by Nano Banana, offers pre-made AI templates available in the Create tab on Android. Users can quickly reimagine their photos with fun edits, such as being placed in a high-fashion photoshoot or creating professional headshots. These features are rolling out to Android users in both the United States and India. Additionally, a new Ask Photos feature is set to launch in over 100 countries and 17 new languages, enabling users to locate specific photos in their galleries using natural language commands. With the new "Ask" button, users can engage with the AI to explore their photo content, discover related memories, or describe desired edits effortlessly.
