Samsung has unveiled its advanced residential climate solutions in India, integrating cutting-edge technologies such as WindFree cooling, PM1.0 air purification, SmartThings connectivity, and AI-driven VRF technology. With a focus on urban areas facing challenges of rising temperatures and deteriorating air quality, Samsung has introduced these solutions at The Orchard in Central Park Flower Valley, Gurugram. This project is touted as one of the largest high-end residential developments in India to implement such technologies on a large scale. The Orchard features 284 luxurious residences, supported by a robust total installed capacity of 4,864 HP. Samsung's innovative WindFree technology alleviates discomfort associated with direct cold airflow commonly found in traditional air conditioning systems. Instead, it disperses cool air through 10,000 micro air holes, creating a serene 'Still Air' environment with minimal air speed, ideal for extended nighttime use and family spaces. To enhance indoor air quality, the WindFree 1-Way Cassette ACs can be equipped with an optional PM1.0 purification panel and filter, which effectively captures ultrafine dust particles as small as 0.3 microns and can sterilize up to 99% of bacteria, based on verification by Intertek. Furthermore, the system features Wi-Fi-enabled SmartThings connectivity, enabling users to manage their environment via smartphones, voice commands, geo-fencing, and energy monitoring. Samsung's DVM S2 VRF outdoor units incorporate AI-powered technologies that enhance cooling efficiency. With Active AI Pressure Control, these units can improve internal pressure by up to 32% and decrease energy consumption by up to 15% under specific tested conditions. Vipin Agrawal, Head of SAC Business at Samsung India, highlighted that modern homeowners seek more than traditional cooling solutions; they desire healthier air, connected experiences, intelligent energy management, and increased comfort. The Gurugram project exemplifies how large residential developments can seamlessly integrate intelligent, wellness-focused, and energy-efficient climate technologies into contemporary living spaces.
