Lumio launches Arc 5 and Arc 7 projectors, promising big-screen magic for Indian homes

Lumio, a consumer technology company based in Bangalore, has launched two innovative home projectors, the Lumio Arc 5 and Arc 7, aiming to enhance the way Indian households enjoy big-screen entertainment. Manufactured in India, these projectors are powered by Google TV and come with certified Netflix support. They are designed for ease of use, featuring a sleek aesthetic and local after-sales service. Raghu Reddy, CEO of Circuit House Technologies, emphasized the potential of projectors in India's entertainment landscape, stating, "We see projectors as the next frontier in home entertainment. While India’s projector market is small, its potential is massive." The Arc 5 is particularly suited for smaller spaces such as bedrooms and dorms, weighing just 1.33 kg and delivering 200 ANSI lumens of brightness. It features 5W speakers enhanced with Dolby Audio and can project images up to 100 inches. On the other hand, the Arc 7 is designed for larger environments, boasting 400 ANSI lumens and more powerful 2x8W stereo speakers. Both models incorporate Lumio’s proprietary Arclight engine, offering Full HD 1080p visuals with HDR10 support. They are housed in a sealed, dustproof chassis to ensure long-lasting durability. A standout feature of these projectors is the STR8 (Smooth Trapezoidal Recalibration) system, which utilizes auto-keystone correction, obstacle avoidance, and TOF-based autofocus to adjust projections in real-time, making setup as simple as plugging in. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, HDMI 2.0, USB 2.0, and a 3.5mm audio out. The included Minion Noir remote is equipped with hotkeys for popular apps like Netflix and YouTube, alongside voice command capabilities via Google Assistant. Additionally, a built-in app called TLDR offers curated content for sports enthusiasts and facilitates music discovery through YouTube Music integration. Zeba Khan, Director of Consumer Electronics at Amazon India, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Lumio, stating, "We’re excited to partner with Lumio to bring these game-changing projectors to Amazon.in. With nationwide delivery and seamless setup services, we’re making premium projection accessible to every Indian home." The Lumio Arc 7 will be available for purchase on Amazon.in starting July 12, 2025, priced at INR 34,999. Early buyers can snag it for INR 29,999 from July 12–14 during Amazon Prime Day. The Arc 5 is set to launch in the last week of July for INR 19,999. With over 200 service centers across India and a one-year warranty, Lumio is positioning itself to tap into the mid-range projector market, which remains largely underserved.
