VLGE is making it easier to world build and shop on Roblox

Evelyn Mora, during her early career, recognized a significant gap in the fashion industry: designers dedicated to sustainability struggled to host eco-friendly large-scale fashion shows. In response, she founded VLGE in 2021, an innovative platform focused on gaming and immersive world-building that collaborates with brands to create their own interactive environments. VLGE empowers brands to design unique worlds filled with engaging content and games, which can then be exported to various platforms, notably Roblox. This groundbreaking approach is transforming the future of shopping, enabling brands to forge connections with Gen Z through immersive experiences instead of traditional fashion shows and campaigns. The platform has already partnered with notable names such as Lancome, Charlotte Tilbury, and Vogue Scandinavia, successfully securing $5 million in funding from investors including members of the du Pont family, L’Oreal Group, and the British Fashion Council. Recently, VLGE made waves by launching the world’s inaugural 3D and gamified fashion week. On Thursday, the company unveiled its ambitious plans for World Fashion Week, where 50 fashion brands will debut their shoppable worlds, all powered by VLGE. This event aims to bridge creators and shoppable games on platforms like Roblox, marking a significant milestone for the brand. Mora emphasized that this is VLGE's largest activation to date, showcasing the platform's capability for real-time building across browsers, starting with Roblox. She identified the platform's potential within the lucrative Roblox market, which has emerged as a pivotal space for youth engagement in fashion. "Roblox has become fashion’s most powerful youth frontier, yet world-building there has been costly and complex,” Mora explained to TechCrunch. "We make it instant, affordable, and scalable, bridging e-commerce, gaming, and cultural creation." What sets VLGE apart is its user-friendly approach; anyone can launch on Roblox without needing to master its coding language or possess extensive technical knowledge. This opens doors for brands that previously faced financial barriers, as the costs to create a world on Roblox can range from $10,000 to $100,000 when working with agencies. VLGE presents four payment options: a freemium model and three paid tiers tailored for creators, small businesses, and enterprises. Mora is optimistic about the rise of gamified commerce as the next trend in fashion. She revealed plans for VLGE to launch an online store that will feature both physical products from emerging brands and 3D assets compatible with Roblox. This technological advancement reflects the fashion industry's shift towards leveraging gaming and immersive experiences to engage with the next generation. "This moment isn’t just about fashion; it’s about the foundational changes that will drive the next wave of commerce," Mora concluded.
