In a significant move for the tech industry, Primebook, a frontrunner in Android laptops in India, has introduced the Primebook 2 Pro and Primebook 2 Max. These innovative devices are specially crafted for students, freelancers, coders, creators, and young professionals. Building on the foundation laid by the Primebook 2 Neo, the new models feature enhanced displays, more powerful processors, and increased storage, all with the goal of making AI-powered laptops more accessible to a wider audience. Both laptops operate on PrimeOS 3.0, an operating system based on Android 15 that is specifically optimized for laptop use. Under the hood, they are driven by the robust octa-core MediaTek Helio G99 processor and come equipped with 8GB of RAM. The Primebook 2 Pro boasts a 14.1-inch Full HD IPS anti-glare display and offers 128GB UFS storage with an impressive battery life of up to 14 hours. In contrast, the larger Primebook 2 Max features a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS anti-glare display, 256GB of UFS storage, and a battery that lasts up to 12 hours. Both models share a range of advanced features, including 1440p webcams, dual stereo speakers, noise-cancelling microphones, fast-charging dual USB-A and USB-C ports, MicroSD expansion capabilities of up to 1TB, and backlit keyboards, all available in a sleek Chill Grey finish. What sets these laptops apart is their built-in AI and productivity features tailored for the modern user. Key functionalities include an AI Companion, a contextually aware assistant powered by Gemini, and an AI-driven Global Search tool for instant access to files and settings. Additionally, PrimeCoding serves as an offline beginner-friendly coding platform, while Cloud PC offers the ability to stream Windows and Linux desktops starting at just ₹19 per subscription. The Prime App Store ensures users have access to a wide variety of Android apps, with options for user-requested additions. Moreover, innovative keymapping and sensors enhance the gaming experience and enrich the use of Android apps. Chitranshu Mahant, CEO and Co-founder of Primebook, highlighted a market gap in the under-₹20,000 laptop segment, stating, “We recognized the need for a laptop that delivers speed and multitasking effectively. This insight prompted us to launch the second generation, starting with the Primebook 2 Neo. With the Pro and Max, we continue to push innovation, offering larger displays and superior specifications.” Co-founder and COO Aman Verma emphasized the company's mission to make technology accessible, asserting, “With our Generation 2 line-up, including the latest Pro and Max, we strive to prove that powerful laptops can be both straightforward and affordable.” Pricing is set at ₹17,990 for the Primebook 2 Pro and ₹19,990 for the Primebook 2 Max, with availability through Amazon, Flipkart, and Primebook’s official website. Additionally, customers purchasing from the Primebook site can enjoy a ₹500 discount on prepaid orders.
