Newly unveiled documents from the Epstein files have shed light on Elon Musk's interactions with Jeffrey Epstein during 2012 and 2013. These communications suggest that Musk contemplated visiting Epstein's private island and discussed gatherings at his SpaceX facility in Southern California. In the emails, Musk inquired about attending what Epstein termed the 'wildest party' held on his island. Despite his denials of any close ties to Epstein, Musk has previously acknowledged attempts by Epstein to entice him to visit, stating on his platform X in September, "Epstein tried to get me to go to his island and I REFUSED." The U.S. Virgin Islands issued a subpoena to Musk in 2023, amid investigations into whether Epstein had attempted to introduce Musk to JPMorgan Chase as a client. This release follows significant public pressure on the Department of Justice to disclose all Epstein-related documents by the December 19 deadline established by federal legislation. Among the newly released emails, Musk's name appears with his email address redacted. In a correspondence from October 2012, Musk expressed a desire for more romance and mentioned traveling to St. Barts with his then-partner, actress Talulah Riley, indicating a potential visit to Epstein's island. Further exchanges in November 2013 revealed Epstein offering Musk a helicopter ride to the island, asking, "how many people will you be for the heli to island?" Musk indicated it would be just him and Riley, and sought details about when the 'wildest party' would take place. In a later December email, Musk mentioned his holiday plans in the British Virgin Islands and expressed interest in visiting Epstein’s island. Epstein replied affirmatively, offering to send a helicopter for the trip. However, the extent of Musk's actual visit to the island remains unverified, as he has consistently denied ever setting foot there. In another email thread from October 2012, Musk relayed Epstein's inquiries to his cousin, Peter Rive, about electrifying Epstein's properties, including his New Mexico ranch and private island. This was during Musk's tenure on the board of SolarCity, a company he invested in personally. The controversy surrounding Musk's associations with Epstein has intensified in light of these revelations, especially after Musk suggested that former President Donald Trump was withholding Epstein-related documents to protect his reputation. Musk's remarks, made during a public feud with Trump, led to an apology for comments he later deemed excessive.
