Reddit has successfully restored its services following a significant outage that impacted approximately 31,000 users worldwide on Tuesday, as reported by Downdetector, a site dedicated to tracking service interruptions. The platform experienced a surge in errors, prompting an immediate response from Reddit's technical team. The company confirmed on its status page, "The incident has been resolved," after thorough investigation. At the height of the disruption, 30,817 users were affected, but by 3:31 p.m. ET, that number had dramatically decreased to just 529. It’s important to note that the actual count of affected users may differ due to varying reporting practices. This interruption also coincided with a slight decline in Reddit’s stock value, which saw a 1.5% drop during the trading day. This incident stands out as one of the more significant outages since Reddit's initial public offering in March, a period during which investors have been particularly attentive to the platform’s reliability and performance metrics.
