In an exciting announcement, Rockstar Games revealed that the beloved titles Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare will be available on December 2, 2025, through Netflix Games and a range of modern consoles, including mobile devices. This marks a significant milestone as it will be the first instance these games are playable on iOS and Android smartphones. The upcoming release promises a variety of enhancements, including improved features and performance, alongside free upgrades for existing users. Players will also have the opportunity to utilize their previous save files, allowing for a seamless transition into the gripping narrative of John Marston as he confronts his troubled past. For the first time ever, mobile gamers will be able to experience these iconic titles, with versions optimized for touchscreen controls. Netflix subscribers will have the unique advantage of playing and downloading both games as part of their membership starting December 2. According to Rockstar's latest blog update, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S users can expect stunning visuals at 60 frames per second, with support for HDR and up to 4K resolutions. Nintendo Switch 2 players will also benefit from features like DLSS, HDR, and mouse controls, ensuring a smooth gaming experience at high resolutions. Current owners of the PS4, Nintendo Switch, or backward-compatible Xbox One versions will be eligible for a complimentary upgrade to the new editions. Notably, PS5 users can transfer their save data from PS4, while Switch 2 gamers will be able to carry over their saves from the original Switch version. The new releases will encompass the entire single-player storylines of Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare, including bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition. Developed in collaboration with Double Eleven and Cast Iron Games, these updated versions are poised to elevate the gaming experience. Furthermore, from December 2, the titles will also be added to the GTA+ Games Library and the PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue. In Undead Nightmare, players will delve into a zombie horror narrative, now accessible on Netflix, where they must fight to find a cure for the undead plague.
