Realme GT 8 Pro series launched in India: Price, specs and availability

Realme has introduced its latest high-end smartphone lineup in India, featuring the Realme GT 8 Pro and the Realme GT 8 Pro Dream Edition. These flagship devices are equipped with state-of-the-art hardware, including Ricoh-tuned optics and Qualcomm's advanced 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, making the GT 8 Pro the second smartphone in India to utilize this powerful SoC, following the OnePlus 15. The base model of the Realme GT 8 Pro starts at ₹72,999, offering 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. For those seeking more power, a higher variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at ₹78,999. The unique Dream Edition, showcasing a textured rear panel inspired by Aston Martin design, comes in a single configuration of 16GB + 512GB for ₹79,999. Both models will be available starting November 25 through Flipkart and Realme's official website. The standard GT 8 Pro is available in two attractive colors: Diary White and Urban Blue. Early purchasers can take advantage of a complimentary deco set, bank discounts reaching up to ₹5,000, and flexible six-month EMI options. Although the Dream Edition does not include introductory discounts, it offers a convenient 12-month EMI payment plan. The GT 8 Pro boasts a stunning 6.79-inch QHD+ BOE Q10 Flexible AMOLED display, offering a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR capabilities, and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits in High Brightness Mode. Protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, this display supports a complete DCI-P3 color gamut and achieves a pixel density of 508ppi. A notable feature of the GT 8 Pro is its innovative swappable rear camera module that allows users to switch between three distinct camera island styles—a first for Realme's lineup. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, coupled with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. With peak clock speeds of 4.60GHz and an Adreno 840 GPU, it is designed to handle demanding gaming and graphics tasks efficiently. Thermal management is enhanced by a 7,000 sq mm vapor chamber cooling system, ensuring optimal performance during intensive usage. The GT 8 Pro is equipped with a robust 7,000mAh battery supporting 120W SuperVOOC fast charging for quick power-ups. Additionally, it holds IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, making it highly durable. Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the Ricoh GR-tuned triple rear camera setup, featuring a 50MP Sony IMX906 main sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 200MP telephoto camera capable of 120x digital zoom. For selfies and video calls, a 32MP front camera is included, with the capability to record video in up to 4K at 60fps. Running on Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16, the GT 8 Pro includes features such as dual-view video, slow-motion capture, time-lapse, Google Lens integration, and panoramic photography. Connectivity options encompass 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, USB Type-C, and support for a variety of global satellite positioning systems including NavIC, BeiDou, Galileo, GLONASS, and QZSS.
