Realme is preparing to launch its latest flagship smartphones, the Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro, in China on October 21. In anticipation of this event, the company has shared several exciting details, highlighting significant enhancements in battery life and key specifications. The standout feature of the Realme GT 8 Pro is its impressive 7,000mAh battery, a notable increase from the previous model's 6,500mAh battery. Both the GT 8 and GT 8 Pro will support 120W wired charging, but the new model will also introduce 50W wireless charging and bypass charging capabilities, providing users with added convenience. Realme claims that the GT 8 Pro can reach 50% charge in just 15 minutes with wired charging. Despite the larger battery capacity, the GT 8 Pro is slimmer than its predecessor, measuring just 8.20mm thick compared to 8.5mm for the GT 7 Pro. The phone will showcase a 6.78-inch flat OLED display with a stunning 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, ensuring both sharp visuals and an incredibly smooth user experience. Additionally, it will feature an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor for enhanced security and quicker access. On the software side, the GT 8 Pro will operate on Realme UI 7, based on Android 16, promising users the latest interface and system improvements right from the start. Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the device's advanced camera setup, which includes a Ricoh-certified 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), complemented by a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 200MP sensor utilizing Samsung’s HP5 technology. The phone is also expected to support 4K video recording at 120fps with Dolby Vision, catering to those who demand professional-grade video quality. An intriguing feature of the Realme GT 8 Pro is its customizable camera module design, allowing users to select between square, round, or robot-style configurations. Under the hood, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, working alongside Realme’s proprietary R1 chip to enhance graphics performance and efficiency. Users can expect configurations featuring up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage, ensuring ample space for apps and media. Stay tuned for more updates as the launch date approaches!
