Realme is preparing for a significant smartphone launch early in 2025, with the spotlight on the anticipated Realme 16 Pro series. While the company has not yet made an official announcement, several leaks have surfaced that shed light on what consumers can expect from the Realme 16 Pro and its enhanced counterpart, the Realme 16 Pro+. According to insider Sanju Choudhary, the series is expected to debut in India on January 6, which would align with the brand's usual refresh schedule for the first quarter. The standard Realme 16 Pro is anticipated to start with an entry-level configuration of 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. However, it is essential to note that these details remain unconfirmed, and consumers should treat the information with caution. Another leak from Twitter user Anvin (@ZionsAnvin) suggests that the Realme 16 Pro will be available in four different RAM and storage configurations: 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB. Additionally, the device is rumored to come in three distinct color options: grey, gold, and purple, moving away from the more conservative color palette of the previous Realme 15 Pro. The Pro+ model is hinted to include a telephoto camera, though specifics are still unverified. The Realme 16 Pro is expected to feature a large 6.78-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a high refresh rate of 144Hz, promising smooth visuals reminiscent of last year's model. In terms of camera capabilities, the Realme 16 Pro is projected to make a notable upgrade with a dual rear camera setup that includes a remarkable 200-megapixel primary sensor alongside an 8-megapixel secondary lens. This represents a significant improvement over the dual-50-megapixel configuration seen in the 15 Pro. The front-facing camera is also set to impress with a 50-megapixel sensor, aimed at enhancing portrait photography and video calls. Early reports suggest the dimensions of the Realme 16 Pro will be approximately 162.6 x 77.6 x 7.75mm, with a weight around 192g, indicating a sleek design that still accommodates a robust battery. As more information emerges, tech enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the official unveiling of these devices.
