Realme 15 series set to launch in India on July 24 with bold design, AI features

Realme has confirmed that the highly anticipated Realme 15 and Realme 15 Pro smartphones will launch in India on July 24. This introduction comes just five months after the previous Realme 14 series, showcasing the brand’s commitment to rapid innovation within its smartphone lineup. This time around, Realme is opting to focus solely on the standard and Pro models, skipping the Pro+ variant. To build excitement ahead of the launch, Flipkart has set up a dedicated microsite that offers a sneak peek at the new series, highlighting its design and key features. The Realme 15 series promises significant upgrades across various aspects, including a more powerful chipset, enhanced battery life, and brighter displays. Additionally, the design has been refined to be slimmer and more elegant. Notably, improvements to the camera system and AI functionalities are also on the horizon. A major highlight is expected to be the AI Edge Genie, a voice-activated photo editing feature that utilizes artificial intelligence to modify images based on spoken commands. This innovation could allow users to effortlessly add elements like balloons or alter outfit styles in their photos just by talking to their device. While this feature is ambitious, its effectiveness in real-world applications—such as the quality of edits, processing speed, and overall user experience—remains to be seen. In terms of aesthetics, the Realme 15 series will be available in three striking colors: Flowing Silver, Velvet Green, and Silk Purple. The redesigned back panel features a glossy camera island with three sensors arranged in two large circular modules, complemented by a smaller ring. The front of the smartphones showcases slightly curved display edges, enhancing the immersive experience and potentially improving grip. Although official specifications have yet to be released, leaks indicate that the Realme 15 Pro 5G might feature a 50MP primary camera, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and configurations offering up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
