Ramp says it has hit $1B in annualized revenue

On Tuesday, Ramp put to rest any doubts regarding its impressive valuation of $22.5 billion, which was established just 45 days after a previous round pegged it at $16 billion. The expense management startup announced it has reached an annualized revenue of $1 billion, a significant milestone in its growth trajectory. Annualized revenue indicates a company's current revenue rate projected over an entire year, and Ramp has shown remarkable progress. Back in March, co-founder and CEO Eric Glyman revealed to TechCrunch that the company had achieved an annualized revenue of $700 million. This means that in just six months, Ramp has experienced a staggering $300 million increase in revenue. Specializing in corporate expense management and financial software tools, Ramp raised $500 million during the funding round that led to its current valuation, with notable participation from investors like Iconiq Growth, Founders Fund, and D1 Capital Partners. To date, Ramp has secured a total of $1.9 billion in funding. Glyman also mentioned earlier this year that the company is cash-flow positive, indicating a stable financial foundation. Looking ahead, Ramp is gearing up to introduce AI-driven solutions aimed at creating 'autonomous finance' systems. Glyman envisions that such automated financial management tools will become standard by 2028, with the company already having launched its first AI agent and plans for additional releases on the horizon.
