This innovative chip incorporates Qualcomm's Hexagon NPU, enabling billion-parameter AI models to operate directly on the device. The Snapdragon Wear Elite aims to deliver agentic AI capabilities, which include personalized recommendations and natural voice interactions. It promises substantial performance improvements, featuring up to 5x enhancements in single-core CPU performance, 7x boosts in GPU performance, and a 30% increase in battery life compared to its predecessor. Additionally, it supports a range of connectivity options, including 5G RedCap, Micro-Power Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 6.0, Ultra-Wideband (UWB), GNSS, and NB-NTN satellite connections. Lastly, Qualcomm introduced the X105 5G Modem-RF, a powerful modem platform that also integrates Wi-Fi 8 technology. This new modem is designed to enhance AI-powered 5G connectivity with its fifth-generation AI processor. The X105 is engineered to reduce power consumption by 30% and decrease its footprint by 15% through innovative RF transceiver technology. It also features the QET8200 envelope tracker, NR-NTN (Non-Terrestrial Network) support, and an advanced GNSS engine, ensuring improved satellite integration and efficient 5G performance. Qualcomm has confirmed that devices utilizing the Snapdragon Wear Elite chip will be launched in the upcoming months, promising an exciting future for wearable technology and mobile connectivity.
