Poco F8 Ultra leak hints at 100W charging, upgraded cameras and IP69 rating

Poco is reportedly on the verge of unveiling its next flagship smartphone, the Poco F8 Ultra, with exciting leaks suggesting significant enhancements in both power and functionality. This device is anticipated to follow the Poco F7 Ultra, which was launched globally in March of this year. According to renowned leakster Debayan Roy, the Poco F8 Ultra may be equipped with Qualcomm's cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which was recently introduced at the Snapdragon Summit 2025. If these claims hold true, the F8 Ultra would stand shoulder to shoulder with high-end offerings from brands like Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, and OnePlus. One of the most notable upgrades could be the inclusion of an impressive 7,000mAh battery, a significant increase from the 5,300mAh battery found in the Poco F7 Ultra. Moreover, the phone is expected to support rapid 100W wired charging along with wireless charging capabilities, catering to users who demand robust battery performance. On the display side, leaks indicate that the F8 Ultra will feature an LTPO OLED panel available in either 1.5K or 2K resolution, paired with a 120Hz refresh rate for seamless visuals and energy efficiency. In terms of photography, the device might sport a triple-camera arrangement on the rear, highlighted by a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization, complemented by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel periscope camera. Additionally, the front-facing camera is rumored to receive a substantial upgrade, transitioning to a 50-megapixel sensor from its predecessor's 32-megapixel unit. Security features are also expected to improve with the addition of an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Enhancements in audio performance and haptic feedback are likely, and durability may see a boost with an IP69 rating for superior dust and water resistance. While Poco has not yet made any official announcements, the tipster suggests that the F8 Ultra will be launched globally, with a strong likelihood of its debut in India. The earlier Poco F7 Ultra showcased a 6.67-inch WQHD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, and options of up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, setting the stage for its successor. With a larger battery, advanced camera system, and Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset, the Poco F8 Ultra is poised to make a significant impact in the premium smartphone arena.
