POCO has officially unveiled the POCO C85 5G in India, aiming to make a significant impact in the budget smartphone market, particularly within the sub-₹12,000 category. This latest offering prioritizes impressive battery life and a large display, positioning itself against competitors like the Infinix Hot 50 and the iQOO Z10 Lite. The pricing for the POCO C85 5G starts at ₹11,999 for the 4GB RAM/128GB storage model, with the 6GB RAM variant priced at ₹12,999, and the 8GB RAM option available for ₹13,999. These introductory prices are set to encourage early sales, and as part of the launch promotion, customers can enjoy an instant ₹1,000 discount when using HDFC, ICICI, or SBI credit and debit cards. Alternatively, buyers can receive a ₹1,000 exchange bonus on eligible devices, effectively lowering the prices to ₹10,999, ₹11,999, and ₹12,999 for the respective variants. Launch day is set for December 16 at 12 noon, with the phone exclusively available on Flipkart. The POCO C85 5G boasts a stunning 6.9-inch HD+ display equipped with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Its sleek design includes a quad-curved back and is offered in three vibrant colors: Mystic Purple, Spring Green, and Power Black. Additionally, the device features an IP64 rating, ensuring resistance to dust and water. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, which reportedly achieves an impressive AnTuTu score of over 450,000. Users can choose from configurations of up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage, with the option to expand storage up to 1TB through a microSD card slot. A standout feature of the POCO C85 5G is its robust 6,000mAh battery, which promises over two days of usage. The phone supports 33W fast charging, allowing it to reach 50% charge in approximately 28 minutes. Additionally, it offers 10W wired reverse charging, enabling users to use the phone as a power bank for accessories like TWS earbuds. In terms of photography, the device is equipped with a 50MP AI dual rear camera setup and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies. The POCO C85 5G operates on HyperOS 2.2, based on Android 15, and POCO has committed to providing two years of Android updates and four years of security updates for this model.
