PM Modi presents MANAV Vision at the India AI Impact Summit 2026

At the India AI Impact Summit 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the groundbreaking MANAV Vision, aimed at creating a crucial connection between artificial intelligence and human welfare. Speaking at the Bharat Mandapam, Modi emphasized that the term 'manav' translates to 'human,' underlining the vision's objective to enhance well-being through AI advancements. During his keynote address, the Prime Minister asserted that the MANAV Vision will serve as a benchmark for fostering happiness and welfare for all through artificial intelligence. Modi remarked, "The theme of this summit clearly reflects how India perceives AI." Highlighting the dual nature of AI, Modi stated, "AI is a transformative power. If used without direction, it can lead to disruption; however, if guided correctly, it can provide solutions." He articulated the essential goal of the Global AI Impact Summit: to shift AI from a machine-centric focus to a human-centric approach, ensuring it becomes more sensitive and responsive to human needs. Modi further remarked on the remarkable speed at which AI is enhancing human capabilities, noting that the current pace and scale of technological impact are unprecedented. He observed, "In the past, the effects of technology took decades to manifest; now, the evolution from machine learning to learning machines is quicker and more profound than ever." The Prime Minister also acknowledged the inspiring enthusiasm of the youth worldwide as they engage with AI, taking ownership of its potential to reshape the future.
