Oppo has officially announced that it will launch its latest K13 Turbo series in India on August 11. This exciting lineup includes the K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro, which will be exclusively available through Flipkart. One of the standout features of these new smartphones is their innovative inbuilt cooling fan technology, touted as a first for smartphones in India. The K13 Turbo Pro will showcase the Turbo Breathing Light, which features two Mist Shadow LEDs around the camera area and an RGB lighting setup with eight different colors. In contrast, the K13 Turbo will have a Turbo Luminous Ring encircling its edge, designed to emit a soft glow in low-light conditions when exposed to UV or natural light. In terms of aesthetics, the K13 Turbo Pro will be offered in three striking color options: Silver Knight, Purple Phantom, and Midnight Maverick. Meanwhile, the K13 Turbo will be available in White Knight, along with the same Purple Phantom and Midnight Maverick variants as its Pro counterpart. Both devices come with a unique cooling fan capable of spinning up to 18,000 RPM, which activates based on the device's temperature and usage load. Oppo claims that this cooling technology can significantly enhance heat dissipation, reducing temperatures by two to four degrees Celsius, even during intensive tasks such as gaming or exposure to direct sunlight. While Oppo has yet to disclose comprehensive specifications for the K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro, details from their previous launch in China provide a glimpse of what Indian consumers can expect. Both models boast a 6.8-inch 1.5K flat OLED display with a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 1600 nits. They also feature robust IPX8 and IPX9 water resistance ratings and an in-display fingerprint sensor. On the performance side, the K13 Turbo is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 processor, paired with a Mali G720 MC7 GPU, up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and 1 TB of UFS 3.1 storage. Conversely, the K13 Turbo Pro is equipped with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, also offering up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the dual-camera setup, featuring a 50 MP primary sensor and an 8 MP depth sensor, with a 16 MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Both models are powered by a robust 7000 mAh battery, supporting 80 W of SuperVOOC wired fast charging, and will run on FuntouchOS 15, based on Android 15, once released in India. Pricing details for the K13 Turbo range will be revealed during the launch event, with the K13 Turbo starting at approximately ₹21,500 in China and the K13 Turbo Pro starting around ₹24,000. Stay tuned for more updates as the launch date approaches.
