Oppo has officially announced the upcoming launch of its K13 Turbo series in India, featuring an integrated cooling fan designed to optimize thermal management. While the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has not yet confirmed the exact names of the devices, it is widely anticipated that they will be known as the K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro, following their recent unveiling in China. The K13 Turbo series will be available in three distinct color options: Silver Knight, Purple Phantom, and Midnight Mavericks. Notably, these phones will be the first in India to include a built-in cooling fan. Oppo's innovative thermal solution utilizes a variable speed centrifugal fan within the device, which can reach speeds of up to 18,000 RPM. This fan activates based on the phone's temperature and workload, ensuring optimal performance and preventing overheating. According to Oppo, this cooling technology enables significant heat dissipation, resulting in temperature reductions of 2 to 4 degrees Celsius, even during demanding tasks like gaming or when exposed to direct sunlight. While specific specifications for the K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro have not been officially detailed, insights from their Chinese counterparts provide a glimpse of what users can expect. Both the K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro sport a 6.8-inch 1.5K flat OLED display, offering a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. They come with an IPX8 and IPX9 rating for water resistance and feature an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. Performance-wise, the K13 Turbo is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 processor, coupled with a Mali-G720 MC7 GPU, and can accommodate up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage. In contrast, the K13 Turbo Pro is equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, also found in the iQOO Neo 10, and supports similar RAM and storage configurations. Both devices boast a camera setup that includes a 50MP primary sensor paired with an 8MP depth sensor, along with a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. Powering these smartphones is a robust 7,000mAh battery, which supports 80W SuperVOOC wired fast charging. They will run on FuntouchOS 15 based on Android 15 upon their release in India. In China, the K13 Turbo is priced between 1,799 yuan (approximately ₹21,500) and 2,299 yuan (around ₹27,500) for the highest variant, while the K13 Turbo Pro starts at 1,999 yuan (about ₹24,000) and reaches up to 2,699 yuan (around ₹32,500) for the premium model.
