Oppo said to begin Realme India layoffs weeks after brand reintegration

Oppo is set to implement job reductions within its Realme division in India, just weeks following the brand's reintegration as a sub-label. According to a report from Moneycontrol, individuals familiar with the situation revealed that Realme India’s sales personnel have already been notified of a restructured organization. Those affected have been advised to resign by April 30. While Oppo has previously integrated Realme’s operations in China, the approach in India appears to be more cautious, considering ongoing legal and regulatory challenges. The integration was originally framed as a resource-sharing initiative to avoid overlapping teams across sales, support, product, and research areas.
