Oppo Reno14 lineup to launch in India featuring 50MP cameras and AI editing

Oppo has officially announced the launch of its highly anticipated Reno14 Series in India, slated for release on July 3, 2025. These new smartphones are designed to cater to photography enthusiasts, featuring advanced camera systems and a suite of artificial intelligence tools that enhance the experience of capturing travel adventures and daily moments. The Reno14 Pro 5G model boasts an impressive quad-camera arrangement, highlighted by a 50MP primary camera that utilizes the OmniVision OV50E 1.55-inch sensor equipped with optical image stabilization. Complementing this setup is a 50MP ultra-wide camera offering a generous 116° field of view, alongside a 50MP telephoto camera capable of 3.5x lossless optical zoom and up to 120x digital zoom using a JN5 sensor with an 80mm equivalent focal length. This telephoto lens is particularly optimized for long-distance shots, ensuring that image clarity and depth are maintained. For selfie lovers, the device features a 50MP front-facing camera with autofocus, allowing for high-quality self-portraits even in challenging lighting conditions. The standard Reno14 model shares several key specs with its Pro sibling, including the telephoto and front-facing cameras, but it opts for a 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens instead. Both models support 4K HDR video recording at 60 frames per second, with the ability to switch lenses during filming to enhance continuity. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset, the Reno14 Series also offers dual electronic image stabilization for smoother video capture. Notable audio features include Stage Mode, which reduces background noise, and the AI Voice Enhancer that isolates human voices from surrounding sounds during recordings. In addition to its hardware, the Reno14 Series introduces AI Editor 2.0, integrated within the camera app for more intuitive editing capabilities. Features such as AI Recompose allow users to experiment with different image compositions by adjusting cropping and aspect ratios, while AI Perfect Shot can alter expressions in group photos post-capture, drawing from a user’s photo library. Users can also utilize AI Style Transfer to apply unique visual styles from one image to another, convert short videos into still images, and create professional-grade outputs using advanced super-resolution algorithms. The new Triple Flash Array enhances low-light photography, utilizing three LED modules specifically designed for the various lenses, with tailored flash intensities for the main, ultra-wide, and telephoto cameras. Additionally, AI Livephoto 2.0 captures motion with greater efficiency by minimizing shutter lag and reducing exposure times, allowing still frames to be extracted from short video clips while preserving HDR quality. AI Flash Livephoto intelligently adjusts flash intensity in real-time based on the scene's requirements.
