Oppo has officially announced the launch of its newest X series smartphones, the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro, scheduled for an event in China on October 16. These flagship models will be among the first to utilize the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, which was revealed at a separate event earlier today. Both devices will feature Oppo's latest ColorOS 16 user interface, built on the Android 16 platform, which is set to be introduced a day prior on October 15. The Find X9 is equipped with an impressive 7,025mAh battery, while the Find X9 Pro boasts an even larger 7,500mAh battery. In addition to the powerful Dimensity 9500 processor, Oppo is integrating its innovative Trinity Engine technology to enhance performance and efficiency. Compared to the previous Find X8 series, which utilized the Dimensity 9400 series, MediaTek claims a 33% boost in GPU performance and a 42% increase in power efficiency. To ensure optimal performance, Oppo is also implementing a customized cooling system within the Find X9, aiming for smooth and stable operation. While OnePlus has ended its collaboration with Hasselblad, Oppo continues to work with the Swedish brand for camera lenses in the Find X9 series. Rumors suggest that the Find X9 Pro may feature a remarkable 200MP primary camera, accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP telephoto lens. The standard Find X9 is expected to sport a triple 50MP camera setup alongside a 32MP front-facing camera. Both models are likely to include IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, indicating their ability to withstand immersion in water up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes, as well as exposure to water jets from any direction. Teasers from Oppo reveal a striking red variant of the device with a square camera module that conceals the triple camera sensors and LED flash.
