Oppo Pad 5 to launch in India with Oppo Reno 15 series: here's what we know

Oppo has announced the impending launch of the Oppo Pad 5 in India, following its initial introduction in China last October. A dedicated microsite on Flipkart confirms its availability in India and highlights several of its key specifications. The listing indicates that the Oppo Pad 5 will likely be unveiled alongside the highly-anticipated Reno 15 smartphone, which has been teased by the company in recent days. Although an official launch date for the Reno 15 remains undisclosed, it is expected to debut in early next month. The promotional material for the Pad 5 reveals that it will feature an impressive 12.1-inch display and come equipped with a robust 10,050mAh battery. Design-wise, the tablet is set to be available in two color options: black and pink. It showcases a sleek design with a single camera positioned on the back and uniform bezels around the screen. The Chinese version of the Pad 5 provides insight into the specs we can anticipate for the Indian variant. It boasts a 12.1-inch 3K LCD display with a resolution of 3000×2120 pixels. The screen is designed for an adaptive refresh rate of up to 144Hz, toggling between 30Hz and 144Hz, and achieves a peak brightness of 900 nits. The tablet is notably thin at just 5.99mm and weighs in at 579g. Under the hood, the device is powered by the Dimensity 9400+ chipset and features the Immortalis-G925 GPU. It offers configurations of up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. Running on Android 16 with ColorOS 16, the Pad 5 includes an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front-facing camera for video calls. Its substantial 10,165mAh battery supports rapid 67W SuperVOOC charging, ensuring quick power-ups. Connectivity options are robust, including Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1. Additionally, the tablet supports 5G sharing, allowing Oppo phone users to seamlessly share their mobile data with the device. While the exact pricing for the Pad 5 in India will be revealed at the official launch, the tablet debuted in China starting at 2,599 yuan (approximately ₹32,000), with the top-tier model priced at 3,599 yuan (around ₹44,500). Given the current memory chip shortage, it's likely that the Indian pricing may be slightly higher than these figures.
