At its recent DevDay conference, OpenAI showcased a suite of internal software tools designed to streamline operations within its Sales, Customer Success, and Operations teams. The presentation, led by Scotty Huhn, drew significant attention as industry watchers speculated on whether these innovations could eventually challenge the Software as a Service (SaaS) market. Huhn introduced three key tools: GTM Assistant, OpenHouse, and Support Agent, all currently utilized internally at OpenAI. When asked about the possibility of releasing these tools for public use, Huhn noted that it was still too early to make any decisions. The GTM Assistant, which optimizes the go-to-market strategies for sales teams, incorporates insights from a standout human sales staffer named Sophie. This tool aids in planning client meetings, conducting demos, and following up effectively. Huhn mentioned that around 100 customer demos created by a human employee contributed to training the GTM Assistant, ensuring that the knowledge is shared among OpenAI's growing team of over 400. OpenHouse is another internal tool aimed at enhancing employee connectivity and access to company policies by integrating with existing platforms like Slack and Workday. Huhn shared a practical example wherein OpenHouse facilitated connections with colleagues who provided valuable insights for a recent sales trip to New York. Lastly, the Support Agent tool focuses on improving customer support efficiency. Huhn illustrated its impact by presenting a chart depicting spikes in customer support tickets correlating with the launch of new features. The tool has successfully reduced the support ticket deflection rate, leading to quicker resolutions and an increase in positive customer feedback. In closing, Huhn encouraged the audience to leverage OpenAI’s AgentKit service to create their own AI solutions, emphasizing that the foundational skills of these tools originated from OpenAI’s talented employees. "Find your Sophie," he advised, inviting developers to harness the power of AI in their operations.
