Leonid Radvinsky, the influential billionaire behind the adult content platform OnlyFans, has died at the age of 43 following a courageous fight against cancer. The news of his passing was confirmed by OnlyFans on Monday, with the company expressing deep sorrow over the loss. A spokesperson shared that Radvinsky's family has requested privacy during this difficult time. Born in Odesa, Ukraine, Radvinsky relocated to Chicago as a child. He embarked on his entrepreneurial journey by launching adult streaming websites in his teenage years, notably creating MyFreeCams in 2004. In 2018, Radvinsky acquired a 75% stake in Fenix International Limited, the parent company of OnlyFans, and took on the roles of director and majority shareholder. OnlyFans, which was established in 2016 by Tim Stokely, skyrocketed to fame during the COVID-19 pandemic, offering creators a platform to monetize their content directly. This model attracted numerous individuals from the adult industry seeking stable income sources, leading the company to distribute over $25 billion to its creators. Radvinsky's death comes just months after reports surfaced about the company's negotiations to sell a 60% stake in OnlyFans, a deal that could have valued the platform at approximately $5.5 billion.
