Today marks a significant moment for OnePlus as the company rolls out its latest Nord series smartphones during its highly anticipated Summer Launch Event. The spotlight will be on two new models: the OnePlus Nord 5 and the OnePlus Nord CE 5, alongside the introduction of the OnePlus Buds 4 wireless earbuds. Set to commence at 2 PM Indian time, the event will be streamed live on the official OnePlus YouTube channel, making it easily accessible for fans and consumers alike. The OnePlus Nord 5 is expected to take center stage, succeeding its predecessor, the Nord 4, and aiming to make waves in the mid-range smartphone market. This innovative device will be equipped with the powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor and feature LPDDR5X RAM, ensuring impressive performance. On the photography front, the Nord 5 boasts a dual-camera system, highlighting a 50MP primary sensor paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. A standout feature is its 50MP front-facing camera, which includes autofocus capabilities and supports 4K video recording at 60 frames per second, reminiscent of the advanced features found in the OnePlus 13s. Meanwhile, the Nord CE 5 promises significant enhancements as well, operating on the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex processor—a notable upgrade from the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 used in the Nord CE 4. This model will also offer a robust 7,100mAh battery, complete with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging capabilities. In terms of camera quality, it features a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor with optical image stabilization and 4K video recording support. Additionally, the OnePlus Buds 4 are making their debut with an impressive dual-driver setup and dual DACs, ensuring high-resolution audio through LHDC 5.0 technology. These earbuds will support Google Fast Pair, allow connections to two devices simultaneously, and deliver up to 11 hours of listening time on a single charge, extending to 45 hours with the charging case.
