The much-anticipated launch event for the OnePlus 15R and the OnePlus Pad Go 2 is currently underway in Bengaluru, India. Scheduled to kick off at 7:30 PM IST, this event promises to showcase the latest innovations from the tech giant. The OnePlus 15R is set to impress with its 1.5K AMOLED display boasting a remarkable 165Hz refresh rate, placing it in direct competition with the flagship OnePlus 15. While the 15R may utilize an LTPS panel, it is confirmed to achieve a peak brightness of 1,800 nits, along with a minimum brightness of just 2 nits, enhancing usability in dim lighting conditions. This device will be powered by the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and will feature a new G2 Wi-Fi chip along with an advanced touch response chip. Additionally, the camera system will incorporate the DetailMax engine, a new algorithm that replaces the previous Hasselblad collaboration. For those eager to witness the event live, the unveiling of the OnePlus 15R and Pad Go 2 can be streamed on the OnePlus India YouTube channel, starting at 7:00 PM IST. The event is titled ‘Rise as One,’ and viewers can find a direct link to the live stream. The OnePlus Pad Go 2 is another highlight of the launch, confirmed to support 5G connectivity, albeit only on the high-end 8GB RAM/256GB storage variant available in Shadow Black. This tablet will feature a 12.1-inch display with a 7:5 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 284 PPI. Driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, the Pad Go 2 promises solid performance alongside a substantial 10,050 mAh battery that supports 33W wired fast charging, with a 45W charger included in the box. As for the OnePlus 15R, it boasts a robust 7,400mAh battery and 80W wired fast charging capability, a notable upgrade from its predecessor's 6,000mAh battery. The design includes a circular camera module reminiscent of the OnePlus 15, and the device will be available in multiple colors: Charcoal Black, Mint Green, and Electric Violet, exclusively on Amazon in India. In a design shift, the OnePlus 15R will replace the traditional alert slider with a customizable Plus Key, allowing users to adjust ring profiles, activate the flashlight, enable Do Not Disturb mode, or capture moments effortlessly. The device will also feature a 32MP autofocus front camera and a dual front camera setup while omitting the telephoto lens found in previous models. With its high refresh rate and superior display technology, the OnePlus 15R aims to deliver an unparalleled gaming experience, promising reduced motion blur and enhanced touch responsiveness. Stay tuned for more updates as the event progresses and new features are unveiled!
