OnePlus launches Diwali campaign focusing on sustainability

In a vibrant celebration of the Diwali festival, OnePlus has launched an inspiring campaign named "Light a Light, Plant a Plant". This initiative emphasizes sustainability by promising to plant 100,000 trees throughout India in partnership with the JK Foundation. The campaign features Bollywood star Jackie Shroff, who is known for his commitment to environmental causes. Building on a previous effort from 2019 where the company supported the planting of 20,000 trees, this year's initiative aims to encourage festive celebrations while promoting a greener planet. OnePlus encourages participants to integrate the planting of saplings into their Diwali traditions, merging joy with ecological responsibility. Ishita Grover, the Director of Marketing for OnePlus India, expressed the campaign's vision: "Our 'Light a Light, Plant a Plant' campaign is a heartfelt celebration of joy and a brighter, hopeful future this Diwali. This year, we are focusing on the profound impact of shared responsibility towards a brighter future. By sharing the spirit of giving and togetherness, we hope to spark a movement and conversation where celebration and renewed hope for a greener future can go hand in hand." The campaign is supported by local organizations and will prioritize the planting of native species, ensuring they receive proper care for long-term sustainability. OnePlus promises to keep the community informed with regular updates on the impact of the initiative. The promotional video for this campaign is now live across various social media platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and Facebook, inviting everyone to join in this meaningful celebration.
