OnePlus has officially revealed that it will launch its budget-friendly tablet, the OnePlus Pad Go 2, in India on December 17, coinciding with the introduction of the OnePlus 15R smartphone. This marks the first update to the Pad Go series since the original was released in late 2023, and it appears OnePlus is fully committed to making a significant impact with this new model. The upcoming tablet will feature support for a stylus and offer 5G connectivity on its premium configuration, which includes 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage in the Shadow Black color. This enhancement is noteworthy since the original OnePlus Pad Go did not support stylus functionality. Historically, OnePlus has included stylus and keyboard options with its Pad series. Available in two color variants—Shadow Black and Lavender Drift—the OnePlus Pad Go 2 is expected to include a single camera lens on the back, as suggested by a small circular bump seen in the teaser image. It will run on the latest OxygenOS 16, built on Android 16, which introduces various new features such as customizable lock screens, smooth animations, and AI enhancements in key apps like Recorder and Notes. While the OnePlus Pad 3 released earlier this year lacked certain features like the Plus key or the Mind Space app, the bold inclusion of the OnePlus AI branding in the promotional material hints at potential new integrations. The original Pad Go was priced starting at ₹19,999, and it's reasonable to expect the new model to fall within a similar price range, especially considering the existing OnePlus Pad Lite retails around ₹15,000, while last year's Pad 2 is available for approximately ₹30,000.
