OnePlus Nord 5 launching in India on 8 July: Expected price, specs and more

OnePlus has officially announced that it will launch its latest mid-range smartphones, the OnePlus Nord 5 and OnePlus Nord CE 5, at the upcoming Summer Launch event scheduled for July 8 in India. While detailed specifications for the Nord 5 will be disclosed during the event, various leaks have surfaced, hinting at what the new device may offer. Early reports suggest that the OnePlus Nord 5 may feature a sizable 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with an impressive refresh rate of up to 144Hz. Additionally, the phone is expected to carry an IP65 rating, indicating that it should be resistant to dust and light water exposure, similar to the OnePlus 13s. In terms of camera capabilities, the Nord 5 is anticipated to boast a 50MP primary camera, complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies, users can look forward to a significant upgrade with a 50MP front-facing camera, a notable enhancement from the 16MP lens found in its predecessor. Battery life could also see significant improvements, with rumors suggesting a robust 6,700mAh battery and support for 80W fast charging. This is a considerable upgrade from the OnePlus Nord 4, which offered a 5,500mAh battery and 100W charging. The device is likely to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, which has already made its mark in models like the Poco F6 and iQOO Neo 10R. The previous OnePlus Nord 4 was launched in India with a starting price of ₹29,999, reaching up to ₹35,999 for high-end variants. While no pricing details have yet emerged for the Nord 5, industry insiders speculate it may fall within the ₹30,000 range. Stay tuned for more updates as the launch date approaches!
