OnePlus Pad 3 with Snapdragon 8 Elite processor launching this week

OnePlus has officially announced the upcoming release of its newest Android tablet, the OnePlus Pad 3, scheduled for launch on June 5 across North America, Europe, and the UK. This device will be powered by Qualcomm's cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. On the same day, the tech giant will also introduce its India-exclusive OnePlus 13s compact flagship, which will utilize the same chipset. However, details regarding the availability of the new tablet in India remain undisclosed. The timing aligns perfectly with last year’s debut of the OnePlus Pad 2, which was also launched around the same timeframe during the OnePlus Summer Launch event. The OnePlus Pad 3 will incorporate the innovative Open Canvas feature, first introduced with the OnePlus Open in 2023 and later made available on the OnePlus Pad 2. This functionality allows users to seamlessly multitask by running up to three applications simultaneously. Promotional images reveal that, similar to its predecessor, OnePlus will provide an optional keyboard and stylus for the tablet, though these accessories are expected to be sold separately. Rumors indicate that the new tablet may be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro, which was launched recently in China. If these speculations hold true, the Pad 3 could feature a stunning 13.2-inch 3.4K display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and an impressive High Brightness Mode (HBM) of 900 nits. In terms of specifications, it may come equipped with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. For photography, the tablet is likely to sport a 13 MP primary camera with LED flash and an 8 MP front camera, perfect for video calls and selfies. Powering the device will be a robust 12,140 mAh battery, supporting 67 W SuperVOOC wired fast charging. The OnePlus Pad 3 is anticipated to run on Oxygen OS 15, based on Android 15, and will feature all the latest AI capabilities seen in the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R.
