OnePlus to launch Nord 5, CE5, and Buds 4 on July 8: Key features revealed

OnePlus has officially announced the launch of three highly anticipated products: the OnePlus Nord 5, Nord CE5, and OnePlus Buds 4. The unveiling is scheduled for July 8, 2025, at 2 PM IST. In a significant upgrade for the Nord series, the Nord 5 will feature a Snapdragon 8 series chipset, specifically the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Mobile Platform, which is built on a 4nm architecture. This powerful processor will be paired with LPDDR5X RAM, enhancing performance for mobile gaming. According to OnePlus, the device is designed to run Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) at a smooth 90fps, with the potential for frame interpolation boosting it to as much as 144fps. To tackle potential overheating issues, the Nord 5 incorporates an advanced Cryo-Velocity VC cooling system. This system boasts a 7,300 mm² heat dissipation area and utilizes graphene-based thermal materials, reportedly matching the thermal efficiency of the OnePlus 13, with a conductivity rating of 1,800W/m-K. In terms of battery life, users can expect a substantial upgrade, with the Nord 5 featuring a 7,000mAh battery—an increase from the 5,500mAh found in the Nord 4. The device will also support rapid 100W fast charging, catering to users who prioritize both longevity and quick charging capabilities. Camera enhancements are also on the horizon, as leaks suggest a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. A 16MP front-facing camera will cater to selfie enthusiasts and video callers alike. On the audio side, the OnePlus Buds 4 promise to deliver high-quality sound typically associated with premium earphones. The earbuds are set to include dual drivers, dual DACs, support for Hi-Res LHDC 5.0, and immersive 3D audio capabilities. Additionally, they will feature an ultra-low latency mode of just 47ms, making them an attractive option for mobile gamers. The Buds 4 will be available in two striking colors: Zen Green and Storm Grey. As the launch date approaches, more information regarding pricing and availability is expected to be revealed, keeping fans eagerly anticipating these new offerings from OnePlus.
