OnePlus is gearing up for an exciting launch event on December 17, where it will introduce the OnePlus 15R smartphone and the OnePlus Pad Go 2 tablet. The event will take place in Bengaluru and is scheduled to begin at 7 PM IST (8:30 AM EST). Fans can catch the live stream on OnePlus India's YouTube channel, making it accessible for viewers everywhere. The OnePlus 15R is confirmed to feature the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, a notable upgrade from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 used in the previous model. Additionally, the device will include a specialized Wi-Fi chip and a Touch Response Chip for enhanced performance. Users can expect a stunning 1.5K AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 165Hz, while the panel type may shift from LTPO to LTPS, differentiating it from its flagship counterpart. Battery life is another highlight, as the OnePlus 15R will come equipped with a robust 7,400mAh battery, an increase from the 6,000mAh battery found in the 13R model. Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the 32MP front-facing camera, which will feature autofocus, ensuring high-quality selfies. On the tablet side, the OnePlus Pad Go 2 will boast a 12.1-inch display with a 7:5 aspect ratio and a resolution of 284 pixels per inch. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, the budget-friendly tablet is designed for efficiency and performance. It will also have a substantial 10,050mAh battery with SUPERVOOC wired fast charging capabilities, making it a reliable choice for users on the go. Stylus support will be included, enhancing its versatility. The Shadow Black variant of the OnePlus Pad Go 2 will offer 5G connectivity, catering to modern mobile needs. The initial launch price for the OnePlus Pad Go was set at ₹19,999, and the new tablet is expected to fall within a similar price range, although recent increases in memory chip prices may cause a slight uptick. The OnePlus 13R was launched at ₹42,999, and leaks suggest the 15R may start around ₹45,000, potentially reflecting a minor price increase.
