OnePlus could soon unveil a massive 9,000 mAh phone, launch it as OnePlus Nord 6

OnePlus is gearing up to introduce a powerful new smartphone featuring an impressive 9,000 mAh battery, potentially named the OnePlus Turbo. Following the recent launches of the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus 15R, this upcoming device is expected to debut in China early next year and may later be released in India under the OnePlus Nord 6 branding. Li Jie Louis, President of OnePlus China, recently hinted at the device's launch on Weibo, suggesting that the OnePlus Turbo will deliver 'terrifying' performance, exceptional endurance, and a superior gaming experience compared to competitors in the market. New reports from Android Headlines have surfaced, revealing key specifications and images of the highly anticipated smartphone. The standout feature of the OnePlus Turbo is its massive 9,000 mAh battery, which is set to be the largest ever seen in a OnePlus phone, surpassing the 7,300 mAh battery of the OnePlus 15 and the 7,400 mAh battery of the OnePlus 15R. The device is also expected to sport a 6.8-inch 1.5K display with a 144Hz refresh rate, powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. Users can expect options for 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. On the camera front, the OnePlus Turbo is rumored to feature a 50MP primary camera accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide lens, as well as a 32MP front-facing camera, mirroring the camera setup of its recent predecessors. Despite the significant battery size, the phone is anticipated to support 80W wired fast charging, similar to this year’s OnePlus Nord 5. The device is expected to run on OxygenOS 16, based on Android 16, aligning with other recent OnePlus releases. Design-wise, the OnePlus Turbo is likely to echo the aesthetics of the OnePlus 15 series, with leaked images showing a square camera module on the left side, volume rockers and power button on the right, and an IR blaster located on the top. The phone may be available in sleek black and blue color options, featuring a glossy finish and a plastic body. According to reports, the OnePlus Turbo could be unveiled around March 2026, potentially during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. While plans to launch the phone in India are confirmed, a specific timeline for the release has yet to be disclosed.
