OnePlus unveils new mobile gaming technology for ultra-smooth performance and 165fps gameplay

OnePlus has unveiled its latest innovation aimed at transforming mobile gaming experiences. The new Gaming Technology is a sophisticated system that promises to enhance performance by integrating advanced hardware, intelligent chip-level features, and AI-driven software. The goal is to eradicate lag, optimize power consumption, and provide a next-level high-frame-rate gaming experience in the forthcoming OnePlus 15 Series. Marcel Campos, the Director of Product Strategy at OnePlus India, emphasized the importance of seamless gameplay, stating, "True gaming fun starts with flawlessly smooth gameplay, and that requires truly overpowered hardware. We’re delivering OverPower specs that eliminate stutters and lag. We handle the overwhelming performance, our users enjoy the uninterrupted joy of play." At the core of this innovation is the OP Gaming Core, a proprietary chip-level technology developed specifically for gaming. With over 20,000 lines of original code and supported by 254 gaming-optimization patents, this system revolutionizes resource management during gaming sessions. The introduction of the OnePlus CPU Scheduler is a game-changer, reducing CPU instructions by up to 22.74%, which in turn lowers power consumption while ensuring consistent frame rates. This adaptive computing model replaces the traditional Android scheduling system, providing uninterrupted processing power for critical gaming tasks. Additionally, the Next-Gen HyperRendering technology enhances the GPU rendering pipeline, achieving an impressive 80% improvement in rendering efficiency. Gamers can now enjoy a stable 120fps gameplay experience with enhanced thermal management and energy efficiency, even in demanding open-world environments. The high-frame-rate visuals also facilitate seamless screen recording without any performance degradation. Furthermore, OnePlus has introduced the Performance Tri-Chip system, which consists of three specialized chips: the Performance Chip, Touch Response Chip, and Wi-Fi Chip G2. Each chip is designed to work in harmony for optimal responsiveness and control. The Performance Chip, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, ensures stable and high-performance gaming. The Touch Response Chip provides enhanced touch accuracy with a continuous sampling rate of 330Hz and an instantaneous sampling rate of 3200Hz, thanks to OnePlus’s Next-Gen HyperTouch engine, offering exceptional precision in fast-paced gaming scenarios. The Wi-Fi Chip G2 enhances connectivity in low-signal areas with SmartLink technology, ensuring low-latency gameplay by prioritizing gaming data packets. After three years of research and development, OnePlus is also launching OP FPS Max, a comprehensive 165fps gaming ecosystem. This ecosystem includes a custom 165Hz display and chip-level synchronization, enabling smooth, tear-free visuals that elevate mobile gaming beyond the existing 120fps standard. This innovation combines hardware, software, and ecosystem partnerships to support sustained, high-performance gaming across popular titles. OnePlus has indicated that 165fps support is already available in numerous games, with plans for further collaborations to broaden access. These groundbreaking technologies will make their debut in the highly anticipated OnePlus 15 Series.
